Pogo, Round 1 of Battle Scars took place on Thursday 13th April 2000 at
Dingwalls in Camden. The night was hosted by the Procryptix with music from DJ
Pogo, City Thriller and a live band the Crown Prosecution Service. The MCs,
poets and lyricists came to do battle for a prize of £200. There could only be
one winner and the MCs skill decided who would survive to go on to the final
later in the year.

12th April sees the second installment of Battlescars @ Subterania. Some of the UK’s top freestyle MC’s go head to head for £250 plus a place in the final at the end of the year.
Contestants send demo tapes to: HEAT 3: Thursday 10th August. WORD WAR III. PAs to be announced. 4 Round elimination £250 prize to winner and chance of a BUFF recording deal.
